We are cordially inviting you to join us in the wonderful old city of Dubrovnik for 2025 European Congress of Virology from 27 to 30 April 2025.
As always, ECV provides a unique opportunity for European virologists from all fields of virus research to present their work, exchange ideas and plan new exciting projects. Our Organizing and Scientific committees are busy preparing high quality and diverse programme.
The venue is Hotel Croatia located in a quaint and beautiful city of Cavtat, just 20 km from a world-famous UNESCO World heritage city of Dubrovnik. You will get to enjoy the wonderful Croatian Adriatic experience without the hustle and bustle of tourists flocking to Dubrovnik. Of course, Dubrovnik is just minutes away by car, bus or even a boat for an exciting night on the town. Dubrovnik boasts of a long and proud history dating back to the 7th century. It has one of the most preserved medieval city walls in the world, the world’s oldest arboretum (dating to 15th century) and the oldest European pharmacy still in operation (since 14th century). George Bernard Shaw exclaimed in 1929 “If you want to see heaven on earth, come to Dubrovnik.” If that is not enough to entice you to come, let us just say that Dubrovnik was the first Mediterranean port to require quarantine for people, animals and goods coming from locations with known infectious diseases epidemics. And the quarantine buildings (The Lazarettos of Dubrovnik) are still standing today!
The hotel Croatia itself is regularly a host to numerous international scientific meetings, and is located 5 minutes away from the Dubrovnik airport. We, ECV2025 organizers, have a history of successful international scientific meetings held in Hotel Croatia – most notable being NK2010, International Meeting of Society for Natural Immunity. We are excited and confident that 9th iteration of ECV will be as scientifically and socially stimulative as the past ones.
